Each time you use a meal at Neubig Dining Center -- or meal equivalent at any other dining facility -- a meal is subtracted from your weekly balance.
- Meals are reset every Thursday.
- Meals are prorated during the shorter weeks in the school calendar.
- Meals are for your own use only.

What is a “meal equivalent”?
You can enjoy meals as part of your plan in any of our 11 retail dining facilities by using what we call “meal equivalents.” It’s simple: Just apply the dollar value of your meal toward your purchase. We’ll deduct a meal from your weekly meals balance each time you use a meal equivalent.
Meal equivalent values are as follows:

What if my purchase at a retail dining facility exceeds or falls short of the meal equivalent value?
If your purchase is more than the meal equivalent, use your Dragon Dollars or Connections account to make up the difference.
If you are under the value, you do not receive a refund.
Are meal plans refundable?
Meal plans, in accordance with NY State Sales Tax laws, are non-refundable. This means meals do not carry over from week to week, nor are original Dragon Dollars refunded at the end of the year.
What are Dragon Dollars used for?
- To make up the difference between the meal equivalent and your retail food purchase, as explained above.
- To purchase food in any dining facility
Remember these guidelines:
- Dragon Dollars are for your use only; you cannot use them for a guest.
- You may add Dragon Dollars to your meal plan at the ASC office or online. Additions receive a 20% premium. (For example, if you add $10, we’ll throw in an extra $2.00.)
- Dragon Dollars still unused at the end of the fall semester roll into the spring semester.

Can I bring a guest to eat with me?
All campus meal plans include Neubig Dining Center guest passes. You can use them for visitors – or for a friend who forgets his or her ID card, or even for yourself, if you run out of meals in a given week. Use them or lose them: Guest passes do not carry over from fall to spring semesters.

No. You’ll have to use your Connections account or cash to pay for meals once your passes are gone.
