Nutrition Services

Do you suffer from food allergies, an eating disorder, diabetes, obesity, or
other diet-related concern? Worried – a little or a lot -- about your dietary
habits and choices? Don’t face the nutritional challenges of college life
alone. Turn to our Registered Dietitian, Louise Whittleton, RD, CDN, for free,
confidential
nutrition counseling.

Services are offered by appointment and include:

  • Nutrition fitness – chart a course for healthful eating.
  • Weight management – set goals, develop a personalized eating plan, and modify eating behaviors
  • Computerized nutritional analysis – learn the makeup of your food choices, how they fit with your goals. Learn how to use the information to modify you choices, if necessary.
  • Nutrition counseling for an eating disorder –  help with nutrition aspects in recovery
  • Medical nutrition management – develop strategies for dealing with diabetes, food allergies, lactose intolerance and other medical conditions; help with finding appropriate alternatives while dining on or off campus
  • Sports nutrition --  identify and meet your nutritional needs for optimum performance
  • Dietary guidance for vegetarians -- discover healthful alternatives while dining on or off campus or in home food preparation.

Other Resources:

Upon request, we also address campus groups such as sports teams, residence halls, and panels on a variety of topics relating to food and health.
