Textbooks
What is a prepack? Why should my student prepack their textbooks?

A prepack is where we package all your student's textbooks in a box and have them waiting when you arrive on campus.
Prepacks allow you and your student to avoid hunting for each textbook that they need. It saves you time!
Prepacks also allow you and your student to save money by giving you first "dibs" on used textbooks. These are less expensive, so they save you money!

Meal Plans
How does my student sign up for a meal plan?

ON CAMPUS
Your student's meal plan is included in Room & Board on your tuition bill.
All on-campus students are automatically enrolled in the Silver Plan.
Freshman and first semester transfer students may upgrade to the Gold or Platinum plan.
On-campus returning students may choose any of the 5 meal plans
OFF CAMPUS
Off-campus and West Campus students may select any On campus or Off campus meal plan or set up a Connections account.

On-campus returning students can change their meal plan on-line through Banner Web or by visiting the ASC office during the first full week of classes.

According to SUNY Cortland residence life policy, meal plans are mandatory for all on-campus students.
Our meal plans accommodate students with special dietary needs. For more information, contact our Registered Dietitian at (607)-753-5773

Where can my student use their meal plan?

They can use their meal plan in any dining facility.
Neubig Dining Center offers a marketplace style of service which offers the most selection and value.
Or use a meal as a meal equivalent at any of our 11 retail dining centers.
All menu items in the retail dining centers are available for take out.

What are meals per week?

Each meal plan has a specified number of meals per week.

Each time a student uses a meal at Neubig Dining Center, or a meal equivalent at any other dining facilities, a meal is subtracted from their weekly balance.
Meals are reset every Thursday of each week.
Meals are for a student's personal use only.

What is a meal equivalent?

A meal equivalent is a meal with an assigned dollar value (see below).
With meal equivalents, you can use your weekly meals to eat at any of our retail dining facilities.
With meal equivalents, you can use your weekly meals to eat at any of our retail dining facilities.
If you go over the meal equivalent value, use your Dragon Dollars or Connections account to make up the difference.
If you are under the value, you do not receive a refund.
Each time you use a meal equivalent at a retail dining center, it is subtracted from your weekly meals balance

How can I see my student's account balances?

A student can sign up for Webfood to see all meal plan and Connections account balances online. Account inquiry is a free service.
If your student gives you their Webfood password and their student ID number, parents can see their balances.

Are meal plans refundable?

Meal plans, in accordance with NY State Sales Tax laws are non- refundable, which means, meals do not carry over week to week and Dragons Dollars are not refunded at the end of the year.

Can a parent add money to a student's Connections Account
Yes, you can add money at anytime online. Deposits of $600 made by the deadline at the beginning of each semester will receive bonus dollars to purchase food.

Computers
How do I take advantage of educational discounts on Computers?

If you access the Dell or Apple website through the College Store website, you will automatically be given a discount of up to 12%. Either of these sites will be able to accept online forms of payment. If you would like to use financial aid or would like us to order a computer for you, please contact the College Store at 607-753-4622. Please have the model, pricing, and specs of the computer you are interested in, as well as payment method, for order. You must pay for this in person if the College Store places the order.
